Login problems with ESet antivirus

This article applies to:

• AB Tutor v8
• AB Tutor V10 (On-Prem)

ESet antivirus blocks one of the functions used by the AB Client to allow remote login to be triggered. In order to fix this, please add a HIPS rule to allow full access to the two parts of the Client:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\ABTutor\Client\Agent.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\ABTutor\Client\Daemon.exe

If the computer is stuck in a login loop, ie it automatically logs in whenever you logout, please navigate to the following registry key:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon  

and remove the following entries:

• DefaultUserName  
• DefaultPassword  
• AutoAdminLogon  
• DefaultDomain
